Artists You Need To Listen To

There are lots of artists working hard and putting out music right now that you should be listening to, especially if you have Apple music! From R&B flows to sick rhymes, you should not be sleeping on these artists, because sooner or later, you're going to be hearing them on the radio.

1. Lexii Alijai

Lexii Alijai is one of the artists that are on the come up. She looks up to J. Cole and it shows in her lyrics. She speaks nothing but facts and they are all relatable. My favorite song on her newest album, Growing Pain, is Miss Jackson. Listen to it below:

2. Bas

Although, Bas is signed to Dreamville Records he's still underrated. Kudos to J. Cole again and it's not just because he's my favorite rapper. The last time I heard Bas on the radio was when, My Nigga Just Made Bail, was playing. And he most likely had air time because Cole was featured on the song. I don't think Bas, let alone anyone under Dreamville Records Label, wants to be played on the radio a lot. That's when the main stream wave starts coming. But, still... Not a lot of people know about Bas.

3. Sabrina Claudio

She has a sweet voice with lyrics that are complimentary. She has a lot of talent. The first time I heard this song I had to play it on my radio show in school so that everyone else can hear. She is amongst other artist who is extremely talented and she's putting out great music, but still a lot of people don't know about her or her music.

4. Brent Faiyaz

Brent Faiyaz is one of my favorites. I had ALL of his songs on repeat every day in my dorm. Everybody has heard him before because he was featured on GoldLink's, Crew, featuring Shy Glizzy. But, I doubt a lot of people actually took the time to see who was singing the hook that everybody knows the word to. He sings about love, insecurities, domestic abuse, etc. So much different things with such a great voice that I know girls love. (I wanted to go to his concert, but things came up and I couldn't.)

5. H.E.R.

Shout out to my friend who put me on to H.E.R. Honestly, all of her songs are great. Apparently, no one knows who she is because she wants people to just focus on her music and not her looks or her identity. There's already so many other famous artists that love her music and Wyclef Jean is actually trying to track her down. It's like she's this big mystery, but her voice is great and so is her music. Luckily, she said she'll be revealing herself in due time. We are all getting Catfished.

6. 6Lack

I saved number 6 just for 6Lack. I think just about everybody knows about his song, PRBLMS and Ex Calling. He's another artist who I had on repeat. His lyrics are great and his mind is, too. He takes a lot of time and thought into what he's doing which is also great, especially with his album cover with the bear, which was a real bear that he used in his video for PRBLMS, too! Atleast, we know he isn't scared of animals.

7. Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar leaves you reminiscing about love or wishing you had someone to love. He brings that soulful sound and his voice is so mellow and melodic. He also has a song with H.E.R and that collab was also great! Just imagine both of them coming together with their voices. I want to see him collab with Chance The Rapper!

8. Ravyn Lenae

Ravyn Lenae is another artist I had to feature on my radio show because her style and voice is beautiful. She has a soulful voice on top of jazzy beats, with a little bit of dancing vibes thrown into some of her songs. Overall, her style of music, her image, her voice, it's all great. She reminds me of one of those songs you'd hear in the back of someone's hair tutorial video and then see all the comments where people are like, "What's the name of the song playing at :47 seconds?"

9. GoldLink

You've heard of GoldLink because you always hear the song, Crew, still playing on the radio. He's the other rapper on the song. He has songs with Jazmine Sullivan, Wale, and of course, Shy Glizzy. So, you know he must be great. His style of music is unique to me.

10. SiR

SiR is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), which is also where you'll find, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and many more. That adds another talented singer to the group. So, just like Bas, he's signed to a great record label already. But, surprisingly, not a lot of people know about him or his music. Just take a look at it and listen and you'll love it.

Don't forget to subscribe and tell a friend to tell a friend!
