Don't Sleep on Soundcloud Rappers

This is a public service announcement to any and everyone that is sleeping on "soundcloud rappers"... STOP SLEEPING.
For some reason people put soundcloud rappers into their own category, but it is NOT a good one. Usually, when you hear people mention the term "Soundcloud Rapper," they're usually trying to describe that person as trash. I can understand why someone might use this though. We live in a world where we are used to hearing artists like Tupac, Biggie, Rakim, Nas, Kendrick, J. Cole, Joey Badass, Chance The Rapper... the list goes on! When you hear lyrically talented people and then hear somebody saying:
"I can't eat the plate what you do. I'm in the vip, I'm smokin' on cookie, then somebody fart a doodoo"
You just sit there and start thinking about how these people made it and you didn't. But, everybody forgets that people actually work to get where they are now. Therefore, I respect every rapper that's doing what they're doing now regardless of what they're talking about (unless it's condoning something i don't support).
What people don't know is that some of the artists that you're listening to made it off of Soundcloud. Kehlani, Playboi Carti, and Ugly God, just to name a few, used Soundcloud as a platform to help get them to where they are now. I remember the first time I played Ugly God in 2015, which was on Soundcloud, and it was the song 'I Beat My Meat' and a lot of people won't feeling it except my sister and I (from what I know). But, now people listening to Ugly God and actually like him. Kehlani is every male AND female favorite girl. And everybody think they in New York milly rockin' when they hear Magnolia.
Long story short, Soundcloud is a platform that you use to help promote yourself. It does NOT describe the type of rapper you are. Because if it did, Chance The Rapper would not have saved Soundcloud. So, to everyone that is sleeping on "Soundcloud Rappers," be careful because they'll probably be your best friend's favorite rapper in a couple of months and it'll suck to be one of those people that hated and doubted.
(P.S. yes I know, Bryson Tiller and Kehlani are not rappers.)
